I decided that for all you late shoppers out there, or those of you who are just stuck on what too buy your friend this Christmas that a little make-up pick me up would be perfect for them.
When I was browsing through the best products on the market at the moment, I had no idea this would end up turning into some what of a wish list. I suppose the real reason I picked these products now, is because I want them too for a bunch of reasons I am about to explain.
Being a full-time Make-up Artist means I am surrounded by a world of amazing products which I lust after but may not have, usually resulting in me leaving out the drugstore products. I try not to buy drugstore products for at least a month or so after initially wanting them, sounds silly right? but drugstore products seem to be around on the shelves longer than those limited edition high-end products we like (or I do) dabble in.
So, without further ado, welcome to my top products to fill that stocking up with for a more personal touch. I’ll even chuck in some colour recommendations! Now I don’t own any of these products, like I mentioned this is pretty much a wish list at the same time, so for the first time in a while these pictures aren’t mine.
These Bourjois 24 Hour Cream Shadows are what got this whole post started. Retailing at £6.99 each these infamous 4 shades of creamy shadows are getting a good reputation up in the blogosphere. It may seem like I am featuring a lot of Bourjois products at the moment on BBE, but I just find they have many outstanding products to offer you and me. These shadows are highly pigmented, long-lasting and often end up on the back of my hand after a good swatching session in Boots. My favourite colours have to be the rich Gold ( as always, you’ll see this is a trend) and the deep Khaki Green.
Everyone and their Mother seem to love these L’Oreal Infallible Eye Shadows and no wonder at £4.99 each, what a bargain. I recently tried the shade 021 Sahara Treasure as I managed to pick it up in Boots 3-4-2 freebie and is the only product out of this list I have tried but it has made me eager to try some more shadow colours. This product reminds me of loose pigments with the high quality colour pay off, but also like my trusty cream eyeshadows in texture. They just are one of the best products out there and I can see why everyone wants to own these shadows. I really can’t wait to try out their amazing looking white and sliver!
Now onto the YouTube Beauty Guru’s favourite lip gloss, Barry M Lip glosses (£4.49). It is the talked about lip gloss of YouTube, Barry M Toffee lip gloss is the perfect nude product, which I was lucky enough to try on a sleepover recently. The formula of these products is outstanding, with long-lasting colour and no tackiness or that horrible sticky feeling after you apply. I really want the colour Toffee in my collection but I am also loving the look of their glitter glosses too!
I’m on another ramble about those cream eyeshadows and their any forms, in sticks, pot or crayons but now its the Rimmel Scandeleyes Shadow Sticks setting you back £4.49 per one. I am lusting after the Gold shade, White and Vivid Blue. These products are perfect as a shadow base, a wash of colour all by themselves and also they can be used in your waterline as an eyeliner. Can I get a cheer for the multipurpose product.
My final product I am going to tell you about, to fill your stocking with, or just going and grabbing like I may be doing in the January sales is this Boots 17 eye shadow Trio for £5.50. With a range of metallic trios this product is great for you natural eye shadows like me. This trio’s are a drugstore dupe for our beloved Stila trios which us Make-Up Artists love. Offering is great pigmentation, long-lasting colour and handy packaging these eye shadow palettes are great to pop in your bag.
Now is the best time to get on buying these small presents which your Friend, Girlfriend’s and even Mums will like as Boots & Superdrug have a massive sale and 3-4-2 on!
